Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and it may be necessary from time to time to give a stupid or misinformed beholder a black eye. – Miss Piggy, The Muppets

Beauty is subjective. Each of us have our own perception of what is beautiful, yet that means we each have our own perception of what is not too beautiful also. The definition of beauty is to please the senses or mind aesthetically. What better way to capture this than with a photograph.

Beauty is bought by judgement of the eye. – William Shakespeare

To test our senses of that which is ‘not too beautiful’ we went to a less desirable area to take beautiful photos. Our aim was to capture our subjects in a beautiful way and make a beautiful photograph. Armed with our beautiful cameras we looked for symmetry, reflections, juxtaposition, texture, shape, colour, and much much more.

Everything has beauty, but not everyone sees it. – Confucius

Love of beauty is taste. The creation of beauty is art. – Ralph Waldo Emerson
