A beautiful photograph doesn’t have to be of a beautiful subject; It can be beautiful for other reasons. It’s sometimes difficult to look at something in a beautiful way when it isn’t aesthetically pleasing.

Someone once said:

“Those who look for beauty find it”

I believe that whatever the subject, if you look hard enough, you will see something wonderful. Symmetry, shapes, lines, perspective, lighting and many other things can all create visual ease.

We decided to run a workshop a few months ago to test this theory and to look for beauty on a dirty abandoned wasteland. cv-2 was such a success that we decided to run a sequel. Please take your time while looking through the below images taken at cv-7 and decide for yourselves what has made the rusty, crumpled bits of scrap visually fascinating. After all “Beauty is in the eye of the beholder”.
